Jesus Benayas, President, House of Spain (Balboa Park), returns by popular demand with the story of Spain’s involvement in the American Revolution. There is a little-known history here, involving a nation of deep importance to our past, present and future. This outstanding speaker relates the lesser-known story of Spain’s involvement in the American Revolution and its role in the discovery and settling of North America. Things we take for granted (like the dollar sign, not to mention language, architecture, food, art, music, literature, business, and more) have roots in Spain.
NOTE: This month only, the lecture is on the second Thursday of the month.
